Happy Saturday or Make Your Own Holiday

Hello Everyone!!!  I love looking at the list of days they have for each day of the year.  Today is actually "Make Your Own Holiday" Day.  So celebrate anything you want as long as it is not already taken.

For example:

Sunday, March 27 is National "Joe" Day
Monday, March 28 is National Something on A Stick Day

If you want to read more go to Holiday Insights.  Not only will it tell you what the day is, but will explain it if it is confusing.

It is always great to introduce a little fun and wackiness :)

So today.  Today I am working on more challenges, you guessed it!  I am hoping to make a video tomorrow for you and you will also have a video on Monday for the project I make for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

Please stop back to see what I have in store!!
Have a GREAT day.....Happy Crafting :)

Another Card for Challenge (CCMC143)

Episode #12 - Throwback Thursday Challenge -- Green

Hello Everyone!  I have a project that I would like to share with you and some news.  First I will give  you the news.

The first news is also the bad news....My Imagine is not functioning correctly.  It is printing very faint with lines going through it.  It says the ink is fine.  So that means I have to send my machine it.  It is why I was unable to do a project or video this past Friday.  I am not sure how long it will take to get it back.  It is going to be quite difficult to get to the post office.  I think it will give me a hernia!!!  I am going to see if my post man is willing to take it with him....hopefully!!!  So, as soon as I have my new Imagine we will return to Imagine That Friday.

On to the project.  It has to be an older cartridge, (of course :)  ) and have the color green.  I decided to use the Serendade Cricut Solution Cartridge.

SU Cardstock:  Rich Razzleberry
SU DSP:  Cottage Wall (ret.)
Bazzill Basics:  Black, Light Green and Light Purple

Happy Monday All!!!

Well, I hope you are all having a great day :)

The cat lady has had a couple things in the last few days not work out so great.  On Thursday I went to take my son's birth certificate to his drivers ed school so he could start today (couldn't bear giving such an important document to my son even though he is super responsible, his book bag is scary!!!) ...  walk out to the car and next thing I know, I am under it.  Of course, my keys went one way and I went the other.  I must have looked cute crawling in the ice and snow.  I sprained my ankle....being an ever determined mom, bit my lip and took the paperwork down anyway :)

The other bit of bad news is that I tried to be on another DT, but to no avail.  Don't worry, I am still going to be doing my blog and my videos.....nothing keeps a good scrapper down!!  For all of you that support me, Thank you so much.  I truly love doing videos and as long as someone is watching I will be doing them.

Hope you all are well.  I will be posting another craft video soon.....probably tomorrow.

Thanks :)

Episode #9 -- Cricut Cartridge Haul

Hey guys!!  I can't believe I was able to wait to get all the carts in, but I did :)  So proud -- I generally have no patience!

Bad news about "Fishy Kisses" part 2 video -- it will not upload for some reason.  I am not sure why, I will keep working at it, but for now I can't upload.

Wanted to also let you in on something I noticed.  On the Cricut Rewards site there is a list of Solution or Lite carts...Crocs Rule, Yeehaw, (Beep, Beep), Bump In the Night ...can't wait to see what they are!!  Wouldn't mind if they were on the rewards site, I have almost 5000 points and nothing to buy :)

But.....for now.....check out the carts!!!!!

Have a GREAT day!!!!

Episode #6 - Ryan's 15th Birthday Card

This is kind of a sad post in a way.  I made this card for my son and I took it in the bathroom to write in the card where I knew he wouldn't walk in on me.  I had to brush my teeth after, and I put the card on a shelf.  Little did I know or ever notice, the shelf, which is built in, is not flush with the wall.  So, needless to say, his card fell in the abyss.

Now, my SUPER son says..."Mom, its ok.  The fact you made me the card is all that matters."  I still feel so bad.

Needless to say, I don't have pictures of it.  I do have the video.  I am so happy that I am doing this blog and doing videos of my projects.  That way he still got his birthday card!

Thank you for watching!  Please join me again for more crafts and videos.  Don't forget we have Imagine That Friday!!

National Bubble Wrap Day -- Checking In

Hello everyone!  Happy Monday to you all.  Some of you may think today is just another average Monday, you would be wrong!!!!

Today is National Bubble Wrap Day -- yes, those little air bubbles we all love to pop are being celebrated across the world!!!

Who knew??  I saw it this morning on the Today show.  It is always fun to learn what certain days celebrate.  They have some days that celebrate the craziest things!

So take a moment to pause for the air bubbles you pop, but just can't stop!!!

Ok....seriously, I will be posting a video later on today.  It is amazing how long it takes to make the video and then post it.  It takes like 5 hours.  I need to get a newer method of editing, but still will run into a long upload time when uploading to Youtube.

I also wanted to let you know I am working on getting my videos under 15 minutes.  I thought it would be no problem, but have not been able to do it yet.  I get close, like within 16 minutes some times, still not 15!

Please bear with me as I get my bearings.  I am enjoying this so much and appreciate everyone watching my videos.  Would really love to have you leave a comment.

Thanks so much

Episode 1 - MPS Design Team Entry

Hello all!  I am sorry I have not been on my blog in awhile, but you know what the holidays do!  So here I am today trying for a very coveted position on My Pink Stampers Design Team!!!  I SO want this!!!!

You had to make a project using the following:
  • Cricut or Imagine
  • Favorite Cartridge
  • Colors:  Pink (of course!!), Green, Brown & optional color of your choice
We didn't have to as part of the requirements to be considered for the DT, but I wanted to do my first video.  Robyn was the person that made me want to make videos, so I found it fitting that I should make my first video for this purpose.  It is going to be a pretty rough video, but it is my first and I had fun making it.  Now I just need to edit and post!

For our entry we had to post a picture of our project and give the recipe.  Here are the pictures and recipe.

All supplies are Stampin' Up unless indicated:

12X12 Pink Pirouette Textured Cardstock
11X11 Chocolate Chip/Pink Pirouette Polka Dot Cardstock (retired)

Thank you so much everyone!  I hope you enjoyed my project. I love this hobby.  It is really hard to put into words what this hobby does for me.  I love making projects for people and seeing their faces when they receive something you have been working on and they light up.  This seems to have turned from a simple hobby to a passion.  I know there are so many out there that feel the same.  I am honored to be considered among you many crafters.  I would be very honored to be part of this Design Team if chosen.   I will be working on the video and hope to have it up soon!
