JAS DT - CHALLENGE #36

Welcome back to another challenge with the Just A Scrappin' Design Team.

This week's challenge: Make a card, LO or project with snowmen on it. Use buttons and ribbon.

Supplies
Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge
Cardstock: Core'dinations (Parisian Night, Chocolate Lovers)
Patterned Paper: DCWV Arctic Wishes
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Versamark Frost
Stamps: Peachy Keen Stamps (PK-520 Winter Face Asst); Sentiment: Cardz TV (Tiny Tidings)
Die: My Creative Time (Chocolate Greetings)
Copic Marker: Chrome Orange
Hemp : Hemptique Hemp Cord
Ribbon: Sweet Petites
Other: Snowflake Stamp (Close To My Heart); Button (Stash) Black Brads (American Crafts)

Gypsy Measurements
Snowman (Brown Layer on Blackout) 2.86w X 2.41h
Snowman (White Layer on Blackout) 1.96w X 2.41h
Snowglobe Base (Brown Layer) 3.93w X 4.25h
Snowglobe Globe (Blue Layer) 3.93w X 4.25h

This card was super simple to make. I really like the look I got from the versamark watermark ink on the blue paper. The frost color seems to make more of a sparkle.

For the snowman I cut him twice. Both times I cut him on blackout so I could add the face and brads.
I originally intended to wrap the ribbon around the bottom of the snowglobe, but it ended up looking super cute around his neck. Got to be warm out in the snow, right?

Thanks so much for stopping by! Head on over to Just A Scrappin' to check out the creations from other design team members. Don't forget to link up your newly created project for this challenge. We love to see what you create!!

  2. Bridget,
I always enjoy your take on a challenge. You are very talented with your Gypsy. I will have to break mine out and give it a creative whirl. I agree, the ribbon looks wonderful around his neck, but I can see the base of the globe as well. The watermark snowflakes add a nice surreal touch to finish the look of your card. Keep it coming. I love your creative ideas. TFS
