Cricut Make It Now Cinderella Card

Hi everyone! How are you all doing? One of my DT sister's from Just-A-Scrappin' is having a challenge and I decided to enter. Her name is Jo and she is super talented. Check out her blog to find out more about her and the Fun-Day Friday Challenge.

Supplies
Cricut Explore
Cricut Design Space
Cardstock - Recollections
Embossing Folder -- Unknown (I searched sites but could not find the name.)
Adhesive - Xyron "X", Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, Scotch ATG, Adhesive Foam Squares by 3L Scrapbooking Adhesive

I was really excited when I saw the challenge this week was for a special birthday. My brother's best friend has a daughter that will be turning 2 in August and I thought this would be super cute. I love when I get things done AHEAD of time!! It doesn't happen that often as you all know.

I still have many more Cricut Make It Now Project videos coming up. I will also have a surprise announcement coming very soon. I'm about to join something new and I am very excited for the opportunity.

Happy Crafting!!

Cricut Make It Now - Big Bird Back To School Scrapbook Page

Hey guys! Today I have a scrapbook page for you! I know, shocking :) My son is 19 years old and I have very few, less than 5 pages scrapped of him. So, when I saw this in the CMIN section I thought this is what I need to make.

I had a lot of fun making this page. This project is listed as moderate. Time is 30 - 60 minutes. This estimate was probably close. I think I went over by a little. I am a perfectionist and always take my time working on projects. When I craft, I don't really look at a clock since that is my time to unwind.

This project could be done by a beginner. I would recommend if you are a beginner or don't have a lot of experience in layering to keep your pieces on the mat until you are putting them on the base (black) layer. I would print your black first and go from there. Another tip, and I actually had to do this when putting the item together. If you can't see where something goes, hit customize. This will take you to the design section. I did this and then dragged the size to quite large. That way you can see the little pieces better and gives you a little road map.

Supplies
Cricut Explore
Cricut Design Space
Patterned Paper - Me and My Big Ideas -- Off To School
Cardstock - Recollections
Perler Bead Enamel Dots
K&Company -- Wild Saffron Adhesive Chipboard
Adhesive -- Thin 3D Foam Squares, ATG, Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, Tombow Permanent Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots
Washi Tape -- Maker unknown

Tools recommended -- sharp scissors, tweezer, spatula, scraper, weeder (dental pick)

If you do not have these cartridges, it will charge you per cut you make from these cartridges. I would advise picking up these cartridges. I really love the fonts and extra cuts on these cartridges. Sometimes, cartridges are not so much about the theme, but about the alphabets and companion cuts you get.

My next project from Cricut Make It Now will be a card. I look forward to sharing with you.

If you decide to make any of these projects, I would love to see your take in the comments below!!

Have a great day and as always, happy crafting!!

Cricut Crafty Swaps

Hey guys! Still laying down and letting the cortisone do its work. While keeping my company, my mom "straightened" up my craft room and now I want to get in there and organize. I'm in that place to get rid of things I don't need and hope it lasts till I can get in there and get to work!

Late last month I signed up to do a swap for three spring cards. My swap partner, Kris and I decided to swap a few goodies also. As you will be able to tell in the video, I LOVE everything!

You will see the cards I sent since they were all Cricut Make It Now projects. I have filmed a lot of videos doing these cards. I also show you how to correct some of them as there are errors in some of the projects. I tried to contact Cricut, but have not heard from anyone about fixing these.

Stay tuned. I will probably release a Cricut Make It Now Project later today.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy crafting, my friends.

Cricut Explore Make It Now Video Hop -- I Miss You

Hello all! For my followers, I will say sorry I have been missing for so long. If you are new to my blog, WELCOME!! I was on Melody Lane's Patreon stream and shared my idea about making one of the Cricut Make It Now projects per day to build up my card stash. Then, thinking it would be a really great idea for new owners of the Cricut Explore. When you get a new piece of equipment, sometimes it can be daunting. This will show how super easy it is to get one of these projects done.

The next day, I asked for people to join me in making some videos. With Melody's help, we were actually able to get four other crafters to do videos. So, we are calling it a video hop. Now, we only have 6 videos scheduled, there may be more or I may continue on alone.

My video is a little lengthy as mine usually are, I like to talk!! I also wanted to make sure that a person taking their Explore out of the box for the first time could go along with the video. It was hard to put that "hat" on and try to cover everything.

Hopefully, after this week you will be very excited and have a good start to a stash of cards. You will feel very comfortable in using your Explore. If you have any questions along the way, we are all more than happy to help!

Here is a photo of the cards I made. I made one like the project and dressed one up a little.

Supplies -- Click on Hyperlinks to be taken to the item
Cricut Explore
Apple Ipad
Cricut Bluetooth
Cricut Scoring Stylus
Patterned Paper -- My Minds Eye - Just Dreamy 2
Cardstock -- Recollections
Vellum -- The Paper Studio
Cricut -- Transfer Material, Vinyl, Hugs & Kisses Embossing Folder
Thoughts of You -- My Pink Stamper
Darkest Night Hybrid Ink -- My Pink Stamper
Adhesive -- Scotch Quick Dry, Scotch ATG, Foam Squares
Embellishments -- Buttons (Unknown), Twine from Hemptique

Tools I suggest you have for this project are a spatula and a bone folder. When I use the scraper with vinyl, I mess things up sometime. I really like using the bone folder now.

So, we hope you will follow our video blog hop. Even if you are an experienced user, you never know when you will learn something new.

Next is Melody Lane.

Wednesday -- Open, if no one signs up, I will take this slot.
Thursday -- Esther Lowe Carver
Friday -- Ian Garland
Saturday -- Jennifer Tomasic Sinsley

As always, happy crafting!!
