April Bingo Challenge

Hey crafty peeps! When I started designing for ~Jo's Scrap Shack~ I immediately became addicted to the designs at Bugaboo Stamps. I just recently found out they had a blog with challenges. So, as I was working on my project for our Fun-Day Friday Challenge, I decided to work on a couple challenges at the Catch The Bug Challenge Blog.

I had previously colored in some of their awesome images to use on future projects. I find sitting down and coloring the images very soothing. Takes me out of the world for awhile, and most importantly makes me forget about the pain for awhile.

Here is a picture of the Bingo card:

The card I made is a double bingo. I completed two different lines of this bingo card with my one card I made.

Card Size 5 X 7 (A7)

Well, this week I did use some of my electronic die cutting machines. I decided to pull out the Silhouette Cameo. I was able to take the sketch into the program and trace it. I did place in a different doily, but used the pennants from the sketch.

I was also happy with how my colored image came out this week. I did explain a little in my video of how I choose the Spectrum Noir makers I will use. One of the most important tools, in my humble opinion, with the Spectrum Noir markers is the color chart. You can find the color chart here.

Fun-Day Friday Challenge #83 - Florals & Butterflies

Hey guys and welcome to this week's challenge!!!

This week's challenge:

Create a card, layout or project using flowers and butterflies

Our Sponsor's this week are:

With these wonderful sponsor's you will want to play along!!

Starts: Friday, April 10 12:00 AM EST
Ends: Friday, April 17 6:00 PM EST

Here's what I created for this challenge

Card Size: 4 1/2 X 4 1/4

First, I would like to apologize for not filming a video this week. I usually like to film my card videos, but I had an unexpected health issue arise. For my card, I left it pretty simple. I wanted to be able to use it for lots of occasions, hence why I chose the sentiment I did. I also want to share with you that I tied this bow all by myself!!! It's funny when there is no video camera on you, there is not so much fiddling needed when making a bow. I did put tape on each side of the ribbon on the back of the card to make sure it was really grounded. I simply folded the ribbon in half and then put the card stock in. I then followed the steps I listed above. This is also another card made completely without electronics. It was made with nothing but my muscle and my Cuttlebug. I will admit that I overfilled my "sandwich" and cracked my C Plate. I am going to keep using it, got to save money! Besides, I don't usually use any really large thin metal dies.

I was pretty happy with how my coloring came out. I'm a little OCD as you know in my crafting, so I am a harsh critic on myself. I am enjoying the coloring more. It was easier this week since I used the Spectrum Noir Color Chart. You simply go through and color each marker in a hexagon that is labeled for that marker. It was much easier to pick out colors that I liked together. You can find the chart here.

Supplies
Butterfly D, A Day for Daisies
Recollections Cardstock
Spellbinders Small & Large Labels
Sentiment - My Creative Time - Chocolate Greetings
American Crafts Ribbon
My Pink Stamper - Darkest Night Hybrid Ink
Adhesive - Scotch Quick Dry, Pop Dots

Some AWESOME news and Cricut Make It Now -- Hooray! Mickey Card

Hello everyone! I am back today with another project from the Cricut Make It Now card section. But first, I have some really exciting news. I have been asked by my former DT sister to join her DT for her blog!!! I am so honored and super excited to be joining these ladies. I have been swept away with life for almost the past year. I hate to say that life is developing a pattern, but it is. I thought now would be the perfect time to get back out there :) I love design teams because they challenge you. It makes you go out of your comfort level on a regular basis. Also, this design team and my new sisters are all super amazing. To find out more, click on this link. My first post will be coming this Friday. I am hoping to still do videos on all of my projects that I complete under this design team.

Onto our card!! This card was fun to put together. I will not lie, there were times I wanted to pull my hair out in dealing with the filmstrip. I actually picked up a really neat tool the other day so I will not have this problem going forward. You will see it in an upcoming haul video.
Other than that, this card was super simple to put together.

Supplies
Patterned Paper - The Dots, Stripes and Plaids Stack - DCWV
Cardstock - Recollections
Glitter Tape - Target $1 bin
Homemade Enamel Dots from Perler Beads
Adhesive: Scotch Quick Dry, Mini Glue Dots, Scotch ATG
Tools Suggested: Scissors, Scraper, Spatula, Weeder (aka dental pik), Tweezers, Die Cleaning Tool

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I am so excited to share my news and this super cute project. Keep your eyes open because I will be having an upcoming project that shows different ways you can use this project. Hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Happy Crafting :)
