Just A Couple "Plane" Cards.....

Hello everyone!  I am back today and actually have a couple of projects to share with you. I couldn't resist going a little "punny" as you know I LOVE to!!  I did not plan to use only planes today. I had everything cut, looked down and noticed I went plane crazy!!

My first card I used My Creative Time's "Thanks for The Lift" stamp set. I stamped the "love you" sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The background paper is Baja Breeze from Stampin' Up.  The white cardstock is Powdered Sugar from The Stamps of Life.  I used my Misti to make sure I got a beautiful stamped image.  The airplane was colored in with my Spectrum Noir Markers.  I used D3 for the plane and TB1 for the windows.  I didn't do any shading today, just kept it "plane" and simple, lol!  Sorry, couldn't resist!!  I did take my clear Spectrum Sparkle Pen to the windows on the plane.  I held back and stopped there!!

I used the Stitched Cartoon Cloud Dies, also from My Creative Time.  In order to get more out of my dies, I simply inverted the cloud in the top. The great thing about clouds is there really is no form to them.  You can kind of tweak them how you need them.  The inside I will simply mat a piece of white cardstock to jot my note to my dad.

The second card I made today was made from two sets by My Creative Time.  I used the "Fun Paper Airplane Die" and "Plane and Simple....."stamp set.  The image/sentiment were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.  The "loop" was not long enough, so I masked off the image and stamped a few additional lines to cover my card.  I used my Misti to make sure I got the perfect placement.

On the inside I used two of the sentiments.  Again, LOVE the Misti!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Until next time, happy crafting :)

Thanks From The Bottom Of My Heart

Hello all!  As I mentioned previously, my fur-sister Lily just passed away.  My mom wanted cards to send to the veterinarian and to the crematorium.  They were amazingly supportive on an EXTREMELY difficult day.

I used The Paper Studio Cardstock.  I took the large paw print from My Creative Time's Live Love Bark.  I randomly stamped them on the front panel and on the side of the envelope.  The envelope I wanted to make look like a dog had walked across it.  Each of the panels is 1/4" smaller starting with an A2 sized base.  The die cut bone came from the same set as the sentiment.  On the ones in the photo above I used Spectrum Sparkle Pens.  I did not end up using those, the glitter for once didn't look appropriate.

On the inside of the card I used a sentiment from My Pink Stamper's Thanks A Bunch.

The one on the left is the one we ended up using.  The one on the right was just layered on top without adhesive to show you both.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I'm hoping to have more creations coming sooner than later.  It's all dependent on my pain.

Until next time, happy crafting :)

Mother's Day

Hello all!  It's been awhile, looks like about 2 months.  A lot has happened in the two months, mostly I've been in a lot of pain.  Last month, unfortunately, we had to put my fur-sister Lily to sleep.  She suffered from a horrific disease called Cushing's.  I'm heartbroken, but know it was what had to happen.  It really stinks to be an adult human sometimes.

But amidst all this, my mother means the world to me and I wanted to make her a card.  So, I told the pain to be quiet (didn't work) and I got to work.  I went with a pretty simple card, but still took some time to get the creative process to kick in.

I used Simple Stories DIY stack because my mom loves bright colors, especially pink!  I used my Stampin' Up heart punch on SU Melon Mambo cardstock.  I then attacked it with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle, who doesn't love glitter and shine?!?!

The banner and sentiment are from My Creative Time.  I stamped the sentiment in My Pink Stamper Snowflake White Ink.

On the inside I used My Favorite Things Gift Card Grooves Dies.  The sentiment comes from My Creative Time's Tweet Me Stamp Set, same as the sentiment on the front.  This was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  I actually masked the stamp off as my son and I are giving one card.  As a side note, I love how the gift cards together say "Love Wendy's".   Cracks me up :)

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my creation.  I'm hoping to get back to creating soon, it all depends on treatment for my current predicament.

To all you Mother's out there, Happy Mother's Day!!!!!!

Until next time, happy crafting 😀

Coloring Bugaboo Stamps Theodore - Easter With Spectrum Noir Markers

Hey guys!!  Long time, no talk.  I can simply say that life has gotten in the way.  It has been a busy couple of weeks that I haven't been able to steal some time for me really.  So, I finally did!!

Over on my YouTube channel I received a comment from one of my awesome viewers asking about my coloring videos.  Well, I have no coloring videos!!  I have never colored in a video for really many reasons.  The ultimate reason would be that it is really my downtime where I turn on tunes and go where the colors take me.  It's as close to a Zen zone as I will ever get!!

I have done a few videos for you guys showing the coloring of some images.  Once the coloring video is published, I will next post a video doing a project with that image.  That way you literally have a start to finish with the image.

I won't be doing a coloring video for every image I do, but will definitely make sure to start adding them to my video list.

I apologize, in the video my camera slips down for a few minutes.  You can still mainly see what I am doing.

The image I used it Theodore - Easter from Bugaboo Stamps and I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color him in.  One of the images is die cut with the Darice Rounded Rectangles dies and the other are my favorite The Stamps of Life Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  Until next time, happy crafting :)

Valentine Series 2016 #7 - Cricut Teddy Bears

Hey guys!  Here is my last creations for my Valentine's Series.

When I was working on my Frog Prince card I saw the bear with the heart and had to make a card with him.  I used Create A Critter 2 Bear (M#41D4D).  The bear and the card base were made from Recollections cardstock.  I used patterned paper from K&Co Ka-Zoo collection.  I was still on my "throwback" to how I used to make cards, so I just ran some ribbon as a border across the front of my card.  For my sentiments, I used My Creative Time's I Love You Beary Much Stamp Set.  I stamped the sentiments in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  To finish off the image, I added Crystal Effects to the heart and the bear's nose.

Thanks for visiting!  Until next time, happy crafting :)

Stella Says Sketch #403 - Happy Easter to Ewe

Hey guys!  With Valentine's Day over I decided to start working on some cards for Easter. Hopefully these cards will actually make it to their intended recipients :)

For this adorable card I started with my image from Bugaboo Stamps, Happy Easter to Ewe.  I layered the image onto Blushing Bride cardstock from Stampin' Up, which is also what I used for the base of my card.  The patterned paper is from The Stamps of Life Blessings paper pad.  I also used The Stamps of Life Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut my image and layer from.  My sentiment comes from To My Best Peep Stamp Set from My Creative Time. I stamped it onto So Saffron Stampin' Up cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The image was colored using my Spectrum Noir Markers.  The ribbon is from Dollar Tree and the bling is from The Paper Studio.

Thanks for stopping by!!  Until next time, happy crafting :)

Valentine Series 2016 #6 - Cricut You Are Toad-ally Awesome

Hey guys!  So, little late with my last two Valentine's creations.  The good news is, this card actually could be used anytime of year.  Just has to be given to someone you think is AWESOME!!  We all have those people in our lives all year long, right?!?!  I know I do!!

When I looked back at my cards I made this year for Valentine's I realized their was a gap in my creations.  I hadn't used my Cricut!!!  And, you know I LOVE making my critters :)

I used Cricut Create A Critter 2 Frog Prince (#M46F42) for my image.  The frog and card base is made from Recollections.  I somehow remembered I had some cute frog paper by K&CO, LOL!! That REALLY shocked me!!  The coordinating pink paper was punched with a Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch.    The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper I *Heart* Punny-licious and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Until next time, happy crafting!!

Stella Says Sketch #402

Hey guys!  One final last minute entry for SSS #402.   I will have a few Valentine's cards tomorrow, the day just got away from me!!

Happy crafting!

February Theme Challenge - Ewe Moooove Me

Hey guys!  I'm back with an entry for Bugaboo Stamps Februrary Theme Challenge.  I had originally intended for this card to be in my Valentine series.  But, I've since decided it would just be a great card to have in my stash.

The theme of the challenge at Bugaboo Stamps is to keep it simple.  That is one thing I really love about this card.  It is really simple.

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps, Ewe Moooove Me.  The cardstock is from The Paper Studio and it is heavy weight.  The patterned paper came from K&CO Ka-Zoo All-in-one paper pad.  I colored the image using my Spectrum Noir markers.  The image was cut using a Darice square die and the sentiment a Darice rounded rectangle die.

Thanks for stopping by to see my latest creation.  Until next time, happy crafting!!

Valentine Series 2016 #4 - Have The Yappy-ist Valentine's Day!

I'm Hey guys!!  Welcome back for another Valentine's card.  This particular card will be going to the minion.  I guess I could have made a minion Valentine, but maybe next year.  I know he will absolutely love the one I created for him.

I decided to use my Sizzix Rectangle/Gift Card Flip-it's by Stephanie Barnard.  The adorable image in the middle is from Bugaboo Stamps, pup hearts 01.  The image went really well with my new paper from American Crafts.  I used Recollections kraft cardstock for my base.  The image is colored in with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment comes from My Pink Stamper I *Heart* Punnylicious and is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The brown ribbon comes from the Dollar Tree.

Until next time, happy crafting!!

Valentine Series 2016 #5 - I've Got BIG Love For You

Hey guys!  Back today with another card in our 2016 Valentine Series.

Of course my cards start with my image, this is Simple Cute Valentine Elephant from Bugaboo Stamps.  The black cardstock is from The Paper Studio and the patterned papers are from American Crafts.   I used my Darice Square Dies to cut the top square and simply offset the layer by 1/4".  As always, I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color this adorable elephant.  The ribbon is from Offray.

On the inside of the card, the sentiment is from The Stamps of Life 2015 December Card Kit Club.  I stamped this on a Stitched Rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies from The Stamps of Life.  The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink.

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting!!!

Haul Video

Hey guys!!  I tried to keep another one of these from happening, but apparently not very well.  LOL!!

At least I have been using the supplies I got in my most recent haul.  I realized last night as I was falling asleep I forgot to add a few things.  Maybe they will pop up on a random video.  I could always do a quick haul when my last few things arrive.

Anyway, here is this one....

Until next time, happy crafting!

Valentine Series 2016 #3 - Lori Whitlock a2 Owl Easel Card

Hey guys!  I have another Valentine's Day card to share with you.  The one that we are making today is for my sister-in-law, Cassie.  I'm sure those of you that have followed my blog/videos knew that as soon as you saw the owl!!!

I'm so happy with how this came out!  First, I chose my papers from American Crafts and made my card base out of Recollections cardstock. I started with the file from Silhouette Design Store by Lori Whitlock, A2 Owl Easel Card is Design #116472.  I used most everything in the file. I did not use the sentiment that was included.  I tried writing the sentiment by using my pen adapter from Chomas Creations, but did not like how it turned out.  I turned to I *Heart* Punnylicious by My Pink Stamper.  It is actually the same sentiment. Since the sentiment was a little long for my die cut, I simply layered it instead of one straight line. I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp the sentiment. I finished by using some Spectrum Noir Sparkle on the heart and bow.

I know my sister-in-law will just love her new owl card!!  I got her an owl pen to go with her card.  I wish I would have coordinated colors to make them a truly matching set, but I didn't think of it in time.

Until next time, happy crafting!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!!!! 20th Birthday Card

Hey guys!!  Today is an extra special post for me.  Today is my son Ryan's 20th Birthday.  I so do not believe that 20 years have gone by.  They seem to have gone by WAY too fast.

I am so grateful to be his mom.  It has been an amazing 20 years (plus 9 months) watching him develop into the amazing young man he is.  I would daydream when he was younger about what he would look like and who he would become. He surpassed anything I could have envisioned.  I'm so excited and blessed to be along for the journey he is on.

I was unsure what I was going to make for his card.  I was leaning towards using Lori Whitlock's new Cricut Cartridge All Occasion Box Cards, but decided to look through my colored images from Bugaboo Stamps.  I happened upon the cat rat birthday image and had to use it!  Lily (my fur-sister) has a stuffed rat that we call Jay Rat.  Sometimes they are best buds and snuggle, other times her toosh is laying on his face.  We assume that is when they are on the outs, LOL!  Anyway, it has become this running joke in our family and I thought Ry would find it funny.  Plus, he is the child of the crazy cat lady.  Let's be honest, there was going to be a cat involved somewhere :)  Ryan recently went to visit his dad on vacation and he took a picture to show me how cats flock to him.  Yup, crazy cat lady's son!!

So, onto the composition of the card.  Because it is Ryan, I dipped into my The Stamps of Life patterned paper from one of my Kit Clubs.  The paper patterned paper, from the Friend Collection is actually available for purchase.  The cardstock is from Recollections for my card base.  I used The Stamps of Life Stitched Rectangle Dies for the base layer and for the rectangle behind the image.   The image was colored in with my Spectrum Noir Markers and jazzed up with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle in clear coat.  I used Crystal Effects from Stampin' Up on the balloon.  The grosgrain ribbon is from American Crafts in navy.  The sentiment is from You Had Me At Meow from My Creative Time and stamped in Not Quite Navy ink from Stampin' Up.  The fishtail banner was actually cut by yours truly, I know I am just as shocked it worked out!!  For the inside of the card I used my Happiness Kit Club stamp set from The Stamps of Life.  Unfortunately, this is not available for purchase, but visit The Stamps of Life to find out more about the Card Kit Club.  It really is an amazing deal.  And, with joining the club you get an additional discount on the website.

Thank you so much for stopping by today to see this extra special creation.  Until next time, happy crafting!!!

Holy Cluck...Another Bird-day?

OHey guys!  Today I have a card to share with you that I am entering over at Catch The Bug for the weekly challenge.  This week is a recipe challenge that requires you to use: 3 layers, the color orange, ribbon and a bird image.

I used the Cricut Cuttlebug Chicken Wire embossing folder to emboss my More Mustard (SU) base layer.  The image, chickz - holy cluck another bird day is of course from Bugaboo Stamps. I used Darice Rectangle dies to die-cut the image.  The sentiment came with the image and was die-cut using The Stamps of Life Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The image was layered on to Kraft Gray Recollections cardstock that matches the card base.  The sentiment was layered on to More Mustard cardstock from Stampin' Up.  The image was colored using Spectrum Noir Markers.  I did use Spectrum Noir Sparkle in Clear Coat and Crystal Effects from Stampin' Up for a little sparkle and shine :)  The ribbon is from Dollar Tree.  The three metal embellishments were from my stash, so I am unsure of the manufacturer.  Ironically, they are something I never thought I would use.  I kept them "just in case" there was a good time to use them.  This was that time :). It feels so good to use something you have had for so long.

As always, thanks for stopping by to see my creation.  Until next time, happy crafting :)

Valentine Series 2016 #2 Two Hearts One Love...

Hey guys!  I was starting to clean up my desk, and by that I mean, find it!  Well, that isn't completely true...maybe like 60/40. I wanted to see more of it :)    Anyways, runaway train here...I was putting things away and saw a stamp that Jim had recently gotten for me.  It has been perched on one of my cubes looking at me.  I thought for some strange reason, "I should make a card."  It's not like I do that frequently or anything?!?!  So, a little surprise for when he goes for his coffee in the morning.  Well, in four hours.  He actually gets up EARLY morning for work!!

I still have my The Stamps of Life October 2015 on my desk.  SHOCKER!  So, I brought out the patterned paper.  I have to admit I chose the little hearts paper, but picked the color for each of the hearts based on what I had leftover from my "Thanks" card the other day.  I am so hoarding every single scrap of this paper.  I tried to make a mat out of some of the Storm colored cardstock from the kit and it backfired, badly.  I then panicked about wasting more paper and decided to avoid this by using Melon Mambo from Stampin' Up for the card base.  I really love how it all worked out in the end :)

I used the stitched heart from 100% Sweetness Stamp Set by My Creative Time.  Added a little Hemp Twine from Hemptique and stamped my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

That is really all that went into this card.  Ultimately, very simple card.  Minus the panic attack for wasting paper from one of these kits!  This is the first cardstock I used and it was U-G-L-Y!  Will definitely be a little gun shy to touch the cardstock again.  You all know I will and it will be perfect :)

Thanks for stopping by!!  Until next time, happy crafting :)

Stella Says Sketch Challenge #402

Hey guys!  There is a new challenge over at Catch the Bug for the Stella Says Sketch Challenge.

For my image, I used one of the blocks from the Mini Set - Cat Blocks.  I know, me use a cat image...SHOCKING!  I used The Paper Studio black cardstock for the card base and Recollections for the rest of the cardstock. The patterned paper is from Teresa Collins Save the Date stack.

Once I decided on the cat image, I pulled out "You Had Me At Meow" from My Creative Time. Such adorable cat sentiments :)   Since I used the word MEOW with the heart in the word, I figured it would be fitting (and cute) to use "You Had Me At Meow" on the inside. Both of the sentiments were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

While I was cleaning up my desk, I ran across one of the American Crafts hearts leftover from one of my Valentine's cards.  I put it over the heart in MEOW and fell in LOVE with it!  I just happened to still have the American Crafts heart punch on my desk and scraps from the front.  Voila, hearts on the inside!  But, I really think they finished off the inside of the card.  I might have an addiction to this punch....maybe :)

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time, happy crafting :)

Catch the Bug January Recipe Challenge

Hey guys!  So, I have another entry for the January Recipe Challenge over at Bugaboo Stamps.  For the recipe challenge you needed to use: 3 layers, the color orange, ribbon and something with a bird.

I saw this adorable bird sitting in my box, waiting to have a purpose and thought "Why Not?!?" I know we just finished Christmas and with the good news from Punxsutawney Phil we have Spring on the horizon..but, Christmas will return!!  Why not get a little jump on the 2016 Christmas madness??  So, I did!

The adorable bird is Skinny Bird Christmas Ornaments from Bugaboo Stamps.  The cardstock is Pumpkin Pie from Stampin' Up.  I'm really surprised how often I have been dipping into my vault of SU Supplies and I do in a few upcoming projects also....YIKES!  I went all out on this card and also got into my K&CO Very Merry patterned paper.  I protect that pretty well also.  Hmm..what am I up to?!?  I used some of my Christmas ribbon from Wal-Mart to tie it all together.

Thanks so much for stopping by to view another one of my creations.  Until next time, happy crafting!!

Catch The Bug January Recipe Challenge

Hey guys!  I'm back today with another challenge at Catch The Bug (aka Bugaboo Stamps)

This is a recipe challenge which calls for: 3 Layers, Color Orange, Ribbon and something with a bird.

I used one of my birds I won during Bugaboo Stamps 6th Birthday Jungle Celebration.  Since it was a birthday themed card I turned again to The Paper Studio for their Eat Cake stack.  The cardstock used is Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie.  The image was colored in using Spectrum Noir Markers and the ribbon is from Dollar Tree.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creation!  Until next time, happy crafting :)

Valentine Series 2016 #1 - 100% Sweetness

Hey guys!  Ever have an idea come into your head and you need to get it out?  That is exactly what happened to me!!  It looks a little different than what I envisioned, but it got it out of my head.

For this card I used Recollections cardstock and patterned paper by The Paper Studio. Of course I used my Stitched Rectangle Dies from The Stamps of Life for my base layer.  I am so happy I got those, they rarely leave my desk.  I LOVE them :)

I used a few products from Stampin' Up for this card.  I used Cherry Cobbler ink and the Heart to Heart punch.  Cherry Cobbler is still a current color, but the Heart to Heart punch is retired.  I have it from my days when I was a Stampin' Up demonstrator.  The heart with the "love" phrase is from My Creative Time, 100% Sweetness Stamp Set.  The black ribbon is from Wal-Mart.

Thanks for stopping by!!  Until next time, happy crafting :)

Bugaboo Stamps/The Stamps of Life Birthday Card

Hey guys! After weeks of only getting between 2 - 4 hours of sleep a night I finally got like 10 hours last night!!!  Woot-woot!!  So this morning, feeling amazingly refreshed I got up to do a video for you guys.

I actually remembered a birthday before it happens, so I am sending a card to my 2nd mom from high school.  Her birthday is February 10th, so I am way ahead in my world!!  Usually it's the night before

I was super excited to use one of my stamps I won, Birthday Bird 04 from the Bugaboo Stamps 6th Birthday Jungle Celebration.  This stamp is now available for purchase from Bugaboo Stamps, just click on the link above and it will take you there.

I used my new favorite Stitched Rectangle Set from The Stamps of Life.  I hesitated getting this set since I'm trying to be good and save money, but...I LOVE it!!!

I colored the image using my Spectrum Noir Markers.  I also added Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen to a few of the balloons and the teal on the hat.  For the sentiment (on the inside, shown in the video) I used Concord Crush from Stampin' Up.  The color is retired.

For my papers I used The Paper Studio's Eat Cake for my patterned paper and Recollections for my cardstock.  To finish off the front, I used pink Offray ribbon.

The sentiment on the inside of the card ?Happy Birthday" is from The Stamps of Life October 2015 Card Kit.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy crafting :)

Stamps of Life - Get Well Soon Card

Hey all!  Thanks for stopping by today.  I have a creation from my products from The Stamps of Life.  Where I do receive two of their kits each month, one of my goals this year was to use those supplies more.

For this card I used Sizzix Large Circle #4 Flip-Its and The Stamps of Life Bandage2Stamp. The cardstock is Recollections and the patterned paper comes from an unknown DCWV stack.  The ink for my sentiments is Memento Tuxedo Black.

I added some light blue/white twine onto my front panel.  The light blue color was the only one I had failed to pull out of the cardstock and wanted to tie it all together, no pun intended :)

This card was so super simple to put together.  I think from start to finish it was a 15 minute card.  Sometimes you really need to throw together a quick card.  Even with the volume of cards I make, I don't always have the one I need.  I'm working on trying to fill gaps in my occasions/life events.

Until next time, happy crafting!
