Cricut Just Bee-cause Box Card and Bugaboo Stamps 6th Birthday Jungle Celebration Winner!!

Hello all!!  I have a project to share with you I created with my Cricut.  I have missed it so, I actually had to wipe off dust!!  No pun intended there :)  But, there is a pun totally intended in the card I made.

Before I show you my card, I wanted to let you all know I was fortunate to win during Bugaboo Stamps 6th Birthday Jungle Celebration.  I will be honest and say I really wanted to win 1st place to be a Guest Designer, but I will tell you I am totally psyched to win the exclusive surprise birthday set.  You will definitely be seeing that set in an upcoming project.

Onto our box card

The longest part of creating this card was figuring out the sizing.  For some reason, none of the box cards I went into were sized correctly.  Being so tired, I just went into one of the Make It Now Projects (which were sized correctly) and copied the sizing.

I only made a couple changes to the project.  I added lines to the bee hive because it looked a little weird without them.  I also chose to use my honey comb folder on the lower side panels just to give it a little more "oomph."

My cardstock was all Recollections.  I used the new Spectrum Noir Sparkle in Clear to put on the white of the bee.  I also added some Perfect Pearls to the eyes.  I don't really like how they came out, so I will add some enamel dots or rhinestones over them. I popped the front panel up off the yellow honeycomb embossing.  I liked the amount of dimension I got by doing this.

So that is all my news for today.  I am off to mail this card to my friend who is having a hard week.  This is the week her mom died some years ago and its been a hard one.  She is one tough cookie, but when you are tough for everyone, sometimes it all adds up.

As far as my sleep, I have not gotten any.  I'm waiting to see what the doctor says now.  He has given me sleeping medications of all different kinds.  The most sleep I've gotten was last night.  It was still off and on and everytime I woke up I was terrified.  It is so frustrating!!  My family and friends are all being so super supportive.

And for those that have been asking, Elvis is doing really well!  Warning, here is a picture of the cutest Chihuahua in the entire Universe!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I will try to do a video in the next few days.  I really, really need more sleep.  Until next time, happy crafting!!!
